Education & Facilitation

Lucy is a qualified teacher and regularly instructs on intimacy practice at drama schools and universities including: Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Arts Ed, Trinity Laban, Drama Studio London, and the University of Cambridge.

She is excited to work with the next generation of artists and aims to equip them with the vocabulary, theory and practical skills to boldly and conscientiously navigate intimacy in their work, as well as how to collaborate with intimacy professionals as they go on to work professionally.

I cannot recommend Lucy highly enough as an intimacy coordinator. Her session with our improv company was eye-opening for a group of performers who, despite having been together for five years, had never properly explored the emotional and physical boundaries that have constricted the way we tell our stories. Lucy’s empathy shines through from the get go, putting everyone at ease and allowing space for truly honest conversation around subjects often brushed under the carpet. She provided exercises that subtly uncover where each individual’s boundaries lie and how those can be managed and re-thought. Critically, Lucy’s workshop allowed us to start a dialogue with each other about intimacy, shedding new light on preconceptions and allowed us to discover new ways of performing on stage that empowered us to reevaluate how we can tell stories as a collective. We cannot wait to have her back.
